Chef Jay, celebrity personal chef and owner of Chef J BBQ, and Chef Adel, personal caterer visited our youth programs. They are co-founders of a nonprofit, A Kid & A Kitchen. Chef J BBQ recently was recognized as one of the Top 5 KC BBQ spots by Travel Missouri. In addition to Chef J’s 13th street location, he is also featured at GEHA Arrowhead stadium as a vendor.They shared with students their life journey, humble beginnings. They talked about how they learned their skills, navigated becoming an entrepreneur and addressed the challenges they conquered in the journey.
Both chefs have a passion to serve in our community. We hope to have additional opportunities, possibily cooking classes, to connect with them in the future.
